Jay Martel, author and producer of Key & Peele, will be a guest on our next show, "Working with Humor." At WPRS, we're huge fans of Key & Peele, so we decided to put together a list of our favorite clips. Come out June 4th for our conversations with Jay Martel, Pamela Ribon, and Flula Borg at the Mark Taper Auditorium at the Central Library, DTLA.

We recorded our second live episode of The Working Poet Radio Show on May 8 at the Mark Taper Auditorium, and we were thrilled to sit down with the incredible writer Mark Haskell Smith, Mike Semanchik of the California Innocence Project, and Cosmo Sharf of VRLA. Plus, we were all treated to music by the extremely talented Das Tapes. Clayton Dean, a photographer from San Diego, was in the audience, and he snapped a couple of photos. He was our featured photographer for the night. Hank Cherry took the photos of episode one.
When Richard Blanco was on his book tour to promote “For All of Us, One Today,” he stopped at Skylight Books for a reading. It was his first time in Los Angeles. We caught up with him beforehand to discuss how his life has changed since he became an inaugural poet. Plus, we talked to him about how his job as an engineer influenced his writing. Listen to the podcast for more from one of America’s great literary and cultural figures.
